Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-6). Examples of specialized experience include:
Under the supervision of a professional forester, and using pre-established marking rules, selected and marked trees to be harvested or left uncut. Assisted with estimating volume, defect, and quality of timber in a given area. Assisted with determined acreage by traverse, map or Global Positioning Systems (GPS). Assisted with laying out timber sale boundaries. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
